Help in choosing Flex/Flash or Processing

Hello, I want to do a Vector drawing application with strong server interaction, and I would like to know which development environment is recommended by the community. I am thinking of using either Flex/Flash or Processing, and I am looking at characteristics like processor efficiency, time of development, platform compatibility, etc. What is your opinion? is there any other option that I should consider?
