Processing on NPR

I was listening this morning to Douglas Rushkoff on the Brian Lehrer show podcast (the topic of the discussion was "media literacy") and a caller phoned in to talk about Processing as an open source tool for teaching programming!

Here's the link to the segment:

(scroll down to "open source living")

And I think the caller is David Carroll?

Yes, that was me. Nice detective work, Daniel.

It seemed as if Lehrer and Rushkoff were annoyed that I offered a counterpoint to their topic rather than reinforce it.

Nice find, Daniel. I admire some of Rushkoff's thinking on media literacy, particularly the Frontline episodes he worked on a few years ago.

David, I enjoyed listening to your point of view. I watched the Core Studio 1 video on your site; your students made some fantastic things with Processing. Nice job.
