Information Graphics anyone?
Mar 5th, 2008, 10:48pm

I bought Visualizing Data a couple of weeks ago, and I got really excited about information graphics; using the data freely available on the net and presenting it in new and interesting ways.

I'm particularly interested in the stuff done by the people at media lab prado:

Is anyone here doing anything like this?

Just looking for ideas and inpiration to start projects of my own.

Hello,

Well, it is a huge field right now, and there are amazing things being produced. you should check infosthetics.com. I am also currently developing a website to gather such pieces, where people can share their code, collaborate on the issues. Also website makes them enabled to use with other people's datasets (though I am not quite sure about that feature). I would love to have your feedback on that. It is on OpenVisuals.org

Best,
Sinan
