Count Number of Files in a Folder?

Hi Folks,

i was searching like crazy, but could not find a answer, how i can count the number of files which are locallys in a specified folder and get their names?

For example i have a folder which is full of .txt files and i need the number of these files and their names in order to load the corecct ones without there is a «missing or inaccessible» error which crashes the app.

Thanks a LOT!
