dermarc YaBB Newbies Offline Posts: 17	physical and virtual memory issue Jan 9th, 2008, 2:17pm   so. i use a pc with 4gb of ram. i only can assign up to 1500 MB mem in the preferences. as i read in the reference it depends on the operating system. does anybody knows a way to increase this??

Cian YaBB Newbies Offline Posts: 6	Re: physical and virtual memory issue Reply #1 - Jan 19th, 2008, 6:42pm   Use a different OS. From memory, I think after about 1.5GB, you don't get much from extra memory on WinXP. Vista does support more memory, but is broken in other ways (OpenGL is REALLY slow).
