Processing, OSC, Reaktor
Nov 21st, 2007, 11:47pm

Hi there.  n00b Ricemutt here.  I was thinking that it might be interesting to use processing to generate/send/receive control data with OSC from Reaktor, which is my chosen environment for doing sound.  I saw there was a library that works with OSC.

I was also curious if anyone here has played with a monome before:

www.monome.org

and used it with processing.

These are just some ideas i'm throwing around.  I will probably be getting a monome soon, and right now I use Reaktor every day.  I have been playing around a tiny bit with Processing and am considering going full-on and really going for it and learning to use it Smiley.  Seems like a very intuitive and simple (as far as programming goes) way to generate some control sequences and get input data from devices and send it to other music apps.

Thanks!!

Hi there, Ricemutt!
I'm working with vvvv, Processing and Reaktor 5.
I wonder, why do you prefer OSC protocol? Why not MIDI?
I have some interesting ideas concerning audiovisual installations, so we can have a nice talk.
