Saving Vector to web

I'm looking into how to save a svg file to my web server and have not been able to figure out how.  All the documentation I've seen only mentions saving to a local drive, but nothing makes it sound like it is possible to save to a web server.  

I saw the information about using POST to send information to php, but don't understand the language well enough to figure out how prosvg works so I can just send the raw data to php.  Can anyone help me with this problem?
