Library for brushes, pencils etc. ?

Unfortunately I couldn't find out whether anything similar has already been suggested: to my opinion it would be very interesting and convenient to have a 'Processing' library that provides a number of 'pencils' (or even let you define new ones) that mimic the behaviour of natural drawing and painting tools like brushes, chalks, markers etc.
I worked with 'Corel Painter' for a couple of years - this is where I know such 'natural' digital painting tools from. But unfortunately I'm lacking the knowledge to analyze and program such effects in 'Processing' myself from scratch. Is anybody up to this task - or could at least provide me with some basic information or data how to simulate a natural brush or a chalk in 'Processing'?

Lately I found this paper about 'Brush Painting Algorithms' which could possibly provide a basis for the library I proposed:

I'm looking for the same thing, a library for brushes, pencils, etc.

I would be willing to code some brushes for a library, but I don't have any ideas of where to start. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. The PDF that questo posted is a start, but does anyone know of any computer graphic books that would have more information about brush creation?

Like questo, I'm also a Corel Painter user.

I would like to point to another thesis paper that partly explains why there doesn't seem to be a broader response to my request:

Obviously the whole subject heavily depends on advanced mathematics that at least I am unable to cope with at the moment! Nonetheless I will not cease to search for any source that may be valuable for everyone who feels like starting with the task of creating a brush/pencil library for 'Processing'.
I would be glad if other user could at least post their own findings or thoughts on the subject.
