QT Issues

Sorry to start another thread about QT, but...

I just got interested in video in Processing, and started loading the movie examples.  Except that any example that I load (I'm not doing any capture; I don't have a camera) hangs after a blank PApplet window opens.  No error message to report, nothing.  

I'm running OS X 10.4.10 with QT 7.2 and have read here and elsewhere that there were issues with QT 7.2, and I have done the rebooting, reinstalling and even read somewhere about updating the Perian plugin.

No dice.

I have gotten the Loop example to run once, after the first reinstall of QT, but subsequent runs of that and other examples have just led to the blank windows and hanging again.

Any thoughts?
