Hi just been introduced to processing, I'm very interested in this but don't really know how to get started. My only experiance in codeing is some very basic stuff in action script in flash. Whats the best way to approch getting into processing, is the basic code Java, should I get a basic introduction to Java and start from there???. I've downloaded a few prodject and messed around changing values to see what happens but I've no idea what I'm doing.

Any help much apprechated

Thanks MArk

make sure to quickly read thru this page to understand the environment:
http://processing.org/reference/environment/index.html

and then these:
http://processing.org/learning/basics/

that should get you started.

here's how processing compares to actionscript:
http://processing.org/reference/compare/actionscript.html

let us know if you have specific questions.

the way i learned/am still learning is to load up the extended reference page.

Also check Daniel Shiffman's lecture notes and other resources, they're really really helpful when getting started.
