Forced Dimensions don't match Camera Native?

New processing user here with common JMyron question...

Yes, I have read the reference and things mostly work, but the common video resolution/scrambled problem indicates I need to set my resolution to 160,120 (the forced values reported by getForcedWidth/Height).

This works, but the camera specs claim it supports other resolutions (both natively and compressed), none of which I can make work.  Obviously I'd like to work larger than 160x120!

A bit about the camera:
Intel Pro PC Camera CS430 (webcam) USB 1.0

Specs Claim...

Resolutions (native):
40 x 480, 320 x 240, 160 x 120
Additional camera(scaled) resolutions available:
352 x 288, 176 x 144, 240 x 180, 240 x 176
Frame rate:
30fps@160 x 120, 30fps@QCIF (176 x 144), 30fps@CIF (352 x 288), 5 - 15fps@VGA (640 x 480)

Am I correct in thinking that the camera specs are perhaps lying a bit.  The uncompressed native at a full 30fps is 160x120, the other resolutions are only possible as perhaps compressed/scaled or slower fps?

So logically, can I set an alternate fps in JMyron, if so how?  If it's the camera that is restrictive in my case, any recommendations for another webcam (for XP)?

If stuck with 160x120, a second question would be why does this include a bit of white at the bottom (20px high or so), shouldn't video fill the native frame size?

Suggestions for any and all questions appreciated.

Unfortunetly, I have the same problem with JMyron. I have a Creative webcam and although it supports 640x480 (it works in Creative's own program), JMyron seems to support max. 320x240. After that it starts to interlace the video and doubles the images.

Interestingly, if you cam supports 320x240 and you can get max 160x120 Clickykbd, then it means JMyron only supports half the resolution of native camera setting.

I would be happy if Mr.Nimoy could enlighten us...

I never got anywhere with this... testing with 160x120 until I can get a better camera.  Anyone know of a JMyron and general Processing+Video compatibility list of webcam models?  It would be a great resource when shopping for tools.
