Introduction to Processing
Apr 24th, 2007, 2:20am

Howdy yall.  I will be giving a presentation on Processing at the Mac Tech Group in Cambridge, MA on Wednesday, May 2.  The meeting will be held on MIT campus.

The presentation my be a little basic for experienced Processing folks, but I'll take any chance I get to spread the knowledge to the uninitiated.

Check out the website http://www.mactechgroup.org promoting the meeting for directions and meeting times.

The presentation blurb is as follows:

I will give a demonstration in the use of Processing, an open source programming language and environment, to rapidly create graphical prototypes or full-fledged graphical applications. I will go over the basics of using the Processing IDE, development of simple but visually complex graphical programs and simulations, the use of third-party libraries, and creating applets for web pages. Processing is not only a great environment to learn computer graphics, but it can be a very effective environment to teach programming in general. Anyone attending the meeting with a laptop will be able to walk out of the room with their own running program in hand.

I hope a couple people can make it to support spreading of knowledge, answer questions, and give me new ideas!  I'd love to meet some fellow Processing enthusiasts.
