Fade In/Fade out a video?

Hi everyone,

To fade in or fade out a video I am using this
tint(255, alphaCount);

for which alphaCount increases or decreases accordingly.

The problem is with fading out - at a point, one frame of the video freezes on the screen, although the video continues to run (since I can hear the audio.)  That frame never fades out.  

I have tried this with a variety of videos - sizes, etc, and I get the same behavior.

Any other ideas on fading in & out?
