Has anyone found a way to use ipod screens?

I have a couple laying around, i think the batteries in both are fried.

I've also destroyed any possibility of reconnecting their hard drives.

So I have these two screens, one is second generation and the other is the third, and they're just too sexy to trash.

I was hoping there would be a way to wire the screen to another device and be able to load data onto this "device" and see it on the screen. (i might be dreaming too much)

Any ideas I would love to hear them,
