using ProMidi on an intel mac?
Nov 17th, 2006, 6:07am

Hello,

I just got my new macbook pro and I'm all excited to do some video jamming at a show, but it appears that my USB midi controller (m-audio trigger finger) doesn't work with proMidi!

I found another thread that spoke of the plumestone midi wrapper library, but I found that it only works with the PowerPC Macs as you can see here:

http://www.mandolane.co.uk/dlPlumstone.html

Anybody have a work-around for intel based Macs yet?  Everything else is working so well, it seems like there's got to be a way to make this work..  I didn't actually try the plumstone library, should I just try it and see what happens?  Is there any danger in doing so? (I'm painfully new to the macOS).

thanks,
Ben

There is also a plumstone version for Intel Macs but not free unfortunately

Personally I'm still on PPC and use plumstone without the proMidi library.
In my experience it's more reliable (although less convenient of course)
