www.vdig.com website out of order
Nov 4th, 2006, 7:17pm

Hello,

I would like to install the winvdig in order to manipulate videos in processing. I tried the www.vdig.com website, as advised (http://processing.org/reference/libraries/video/), but the website seems not to exist anymore.

I failed finding it free anywhere else.
Have anyone experience the same problem ? Can anyone help ?

Thank you for you responses !

I happened to be looking for www.vdig.com site the other day, as well. I did find WinVDIG 1.0.1 (which seems to be recommended) at http://blog.maxray.net/index.php?pl=183.

Did anybody find a newer version of WinVDig/QTCap? I would like to try it together with the latest Quicktime.
WinVDIG 1.0.1 works with QT 6.5, but then some .movs won´t play and I can´t use the pretty CoverFlow function in iTunes7 ;(

//amendment: just connected a Logitech webcam - worked at once! with WinVDig1.0.1, Quicktime 7.1.3 and Processing 0121. No probs at all.
very happy now.

thx!*m

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: lockDrawingSurface

anyone can help?

that sounds like the quicktime uninstall didn't really uninstall everything. specifically, there may be multiple copies of the qtjava.zip file that are lurking on your system.

i would uninstall quicktime, look for qtjava.zip and delete any instances of it from your machine, then reboot, then reinstall quicktime, and see how it runs.

for the QTJava.zip, do we need to unzip it and put it in processing directory? FOr windows, just set the path in control panel > environment variable is enough?

thx for your reply.

nope, no need to unzip qtjava.zip, and don't mess with the environment variables for QTJAVA, unless it's to delete the variable before reinstalling.
