tint() doesn't work in P3D. why?

the function tint() doesn't work in combination with P3D. i checked OPENGL. it worked. unfortunately i'm rendering a complex 3D modell by using GPS coordinates that are transformed to X,Y,Z. this process doesn't start in OPENGL.  i think the problem is, that P3D and the OPENGL library both support a differing maxium in Z. therefore i would be happy about unfixing the bug.
