Can anyone tell me is there any integration with bluetooth devices in processing, how much work would it take to integrate some sort of basic searching and locating of a bluetooth device, i dont need to physically connect just find a specific device

Thanks

I see that it is implemented in mobile processing would it be possible to move it in to processing or would this take a lot of work ???

Bluetooth is much simpler on a mobile phone than a PC, since phones have dedicated hardware to do it, and it's part of the default spec. For a PC/Mac however, it'll require someone to write a generic library that'll work with all possible bluetooth devices.

So, in short, no, I don't think it would be possible to port the mobile processing version to normal processing.

There's a related post elsewhere on the board that may have the answer you want:
