Anybody know how ticks work?
framerate() doesn't seem to do it for me

i'm thinking in the lines of all changeable variables have a defined value that they should increase every millisecond, then calculate the difference from last frame's millis() and increase all the variables accordingly..
but this seems .. strange..

is this somewhat the right approach?
