We are, in fact, very close to a new release. We'll wait to write about that when we post the download.

how is goin there? do u remember me? the italian guy @ FABRICA in Treviso Italy last year.
What about yr book? hrd work isn't it?

Hello Patrik,

Yes, exporting vector files (via PDF) is possible now and is working very well, but it wasn't documented obviously. The documentation is now online:
http://www.processing.org/reference/libraries/pdf/

It's possible to import vector files (with SVG) using the Candy library, which is contributed by mflux and is not well documented yet:

The book text is at the publisher for copy editing, but more on that soon...
