Yay or Nay Smooth Images

Hi sorry if this is a question that's been answered before. I couldn't find anything on the Beta Forum.

There used to be an image smoothing hint() that let you turn off the interpolation between pixels and keep the image from getting blurry when enlarged.

Is there still a way to turn off the interpolation and get hard pixels?

I'm using the Java2D renderer BTW..

Edit: smooth() and noSmooth() have no effect on it.
