JOGL on 64 bit linux

Hey, Im running Ubuntu 6.06 AMD64 and I cant seem to get jogl to work. Has anyone else had any problems?

I have tried downloading and installing the pre-released JOGL binaries for 64 bit linux (https://jogl.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=3414&expandFold
er=3414&folderID=0),  but this didnt seem to help.

Can anyone offer up some advice, or maybe a short walkthrough?
