Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask this
question.

I am a student studying graphic design and I would
like to learn java and/or C++ over the summer.

I know my goal will be reached through hard work
rather than what book i get but I was wondering if
someone could suggest a book that would be friendly
to a designer who has never programmed before.

I won't have a teacher or anything, just a bro that
is an engineer that will be unlikely to help me out
that much due to a busy schedule.

Please don't just promote your buddy's book, I really
need help here. Thanks
