Cell Noise Library
Mar 10th, 2006, 3:24pm

Hi,

Today I put up a web page explaining the Cell Noise Library that I just finished implementing. It is a noise function developed originally by Steven Worley, and is related to the noise function implemented in the Processing core (Perlin noise) but has a totally different character. As i see it, it has great potential to become a useful tool in Processing arts.

Please have a look at http://www.student.itn.liu.se/~carro360/processing to read more, see some animations and download the library.

Thank you for publishing this library - that looks like a very useful tool. Wow - looks like you can even use it to create fast Voronoi diagrams.

i tried to create a clear voronoi border visualization, but had problems finding the exact edge. could only generate it with varying border thickness. but i'm sure it's possible, and it can look nice animating it with the third dimension too...
