Simon Greenwold's Particles -- Status?
Sep 12th, 2005, 6:09pm

Hey all,
I'm just writing to check the status of Simon Greenwold's particle implementation for Processing. That library is written up just about everywhere, including the reference on the official site, but I can't seem to find a download link.  I appologize if this is a stupid question I should know the answer to.. x.x

Cheers,
Ryan Spicer

You should write to Simon directly. I don't want to post his email address in the forum, but it's easy to find through Google.

That's a fine question. And it deserves a response. The enemy of good is better, and Particles has been getting better. The most popular forces are springs, and I've upgraded the integrator to do a much more numerically stable and faster calculation for them (implicit integration). But it has this horrible kicking problem that I don't like and I have been shy to release it with. There is an obvious answer, which is to let the user pick which integration method to use. It's not hard. Hell. I'll do it right now. OK. Particles today (or tomorrow).
