forum search results incomplete?

It seems that the forum search doesn't always return all articles that have an instance of the search term.

I have, for example, previously asked about a "pdf exporter", but when I do a search for "pdf" my entry doesn't appear in the list of search results.

Any ideas why?

Might be the field "Max Age since last post". For any reason the default value is set to 7 days, which decreases the amount of search results alot.
So try changing it to the number of lines in your current sketch and maybe, the PDF exporter will reappear Smiley

But also the Forum admins could change the default value to something higher. The alpha Forum has a default of 360 days.

i second myT's suggestion...had the same problem for a while til i found the max age field was so much shorter in the beta forums.

great suggestion. an oversight when updating the forum scripts. it's now back to 360 days for the search.
