My tutors enlisted me to help showcase University of East London's digital arts facilities.
The result was a massive scaling up of my end of year show exhibit. I have a large room with projects on projectors that will be interactive.
One generates interconnecting cube structures that are generated in response to movement before a camera and volume from a microphone. The structures are recorded as they scroll out of view (hopefully there will be some print outs ready - it's all rush at the moment). Effectively the work records how people respond to a work in situ.
Another uses v3ga's blob library to paint trails of blob tracking across timelapse video frames. This will have interactive controls so visitors can activate a webcam version and adjust the output in the exhibition.

The show will be up and running from June 2nd and can be seen in the Architecture and Visual Arts Building along with our 3rd year degree show (AVA) at University of East London (www.uel.ac.uk). Just get off at Cyprus station on the Docklands Light Railway (on the tube) and cross the bridge.

If you turn up on the opening night just look for the balding guy with the faded black clothes and Harry Potter glasses and I'll usher you in for some of the free wine.

AAARRGH!!

Sorry folks. It's the 2nd of June, this Thursday. There's been a world of confusion about the dates.

And if you miss that I'm in the 2nd yr show too (coz I'm an overworked 2nd yr student) that's on the 9th the following Thursday.

I have had no help from tutors when it came to the code. I got it all here, so this exhibit will be a bit of a forum made job:

Do tell me if I've missed anyone.

Update:

Okay, make that three shows. There will be a showcase of the university featuring work by yours truly. We've got the Box Emitting piece and the time-lapse movie ready for 2nd June and will be adding the interactive time-lapse project the following week with everything fully polished by the showcase on 22nd June (I'll edit this if I've got the date wrong, update: I got it wrong it's not the 18th). So it'll be a while before I pony up my final polished code, but the presure pads we've got for the time-lapse project and the projections look pretty sweet. I must at this stage credit John Holder and Hedley Roberts who have been covering the physical/electrical side of this project - otherwise it would be a bit of a gather round the monitor affair.

Seeing as these are the biggest projects I've worked on so far I'm tempted to submit a link to the exhibition page. But which one? I hammer the forum with enough posts, I don't want to spam on and on elsewhere.

Any suggestions?
