error occurs when creating new sketch:090 Beta

Hi,
I just updated from 087 Beta to 090. Now, when I attempt to start a new sketch, i get an error window,

"An error occurred when trying to create a new sketch. Processing must now quit."

And it quits. I look in the stdOut.txt log file, to see that a FileNotFoundException is being thrown: /processing-0087/Processing/sketch_050515a/sketch_050515a.pde. (no such file or directory), because I deleted it. Is there some way I can change this path which Processing looks for when creating a new file.

I changed the preferences to look in /processing-0090/Processing (my sketch book), but it still wants to open the sketch_05015a. Can I stop it from looking for this file? Do I need an empty template file to open a new sketch? how may I change the file which it looks for?

look for preferences.txt and remove it. the location of preferences is described here: http://processing.org/faq/bugs.html#found

and i've made a note to make the sketchbook moving a bit more foolproof in the future.
