stability issue in OSX - 068, 069...hmmm

I've been trying to get up and running for a few days and don't know what to make of the problem I'm having. I'm trying to load quicktime using the "loading quicktime" example. All is fine for about 5-10 seconds and then it crashes the program. Sometimes it will crash it immediately. Seems to be only attached to loadVideo because it doesn't happen with the other examples. The error code follows. QT version 6.5.2. Any suggestions? Date/Time: 2005-03-17 18:53:04 -0500 OS Version: 10.3.7 (Build 7T52) Report Version: 2 Command: JavaApplicationStub Path: /Applications/Processing 68/Processing.app/Contents/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub Version: (1.0a1) PID: 510 Thread: 8 Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0xffffffff

this is a new one.. my guess would be that something is broken with your quicktime or java install, i.e. did you install any beta/prerelease versions along the way that maybe didn't get cleaned out properly?

No, haven't installed anything including any sort of java quicktime module. I was under the impression that the java quicktime was only for windows. Do you think a QT install might be a solution? Incidentally, the camera example, hangs the program...the spinning beachball of death in osx. Connected Panasonic DVX100a via firewire and nothing. Just the beachball, and I ain't even at the beach. Any thoughts I have a backlog of programs in my mind and would love to bring them to light. Kevin PS - nevermind...i had a firewire drive hooked up to the other port...that seems to have been the problem with the camera. Quicktime issue is STILL a problem however.
