up and running

I'd like to experiment with processing as an environment to produce visual cues in response to a streaming data entry.. that's beside the point.
My first concern is the executable. Whenever I engage it, I get no response. My cursor times out for a moment and then returns to normal with no response. Maybe I'm not getting the proper use of the executable. Any suggestions beside reinstall?

try runnong run.bat, ive heard htat helps

try placing the processing folder into the root of you C:\ drive (or whatever drive you have available).
