a cheapo laptop for processing
« on: Jun 5th, 2004, 9:26pm »

I'm thinking of getting a very cheap laptop which I intend to use mostly for working on Processing and some Flash MX. I'd like to work on some projects with Sonia with some graphics responding to FFT's as well. I found a guy with an IBM Thinkpad 570 w/ 320 megs of ram and a 366 mhz Pentium 2 running XP Pro. The price is right, but will it be enough? Does anyone have any experience running Processing on a machine comparable to this? Should I try to pony up a little more cash and go for a low end Pentium III laptop? Thanks.
