hehe ... of course i'd have to say that the course at RCA is above all, the best in the world!

(but then again, the fact that I am at the moment finishing my degree at the Interaction Design, MA course at RCA, would suggest that I am slightly opinionated)

to apply to RCA you have to apply by end of january, which means next application deadline is january 2005.

I have enjoyed my time here very much (only 8 weeks left now) and I have only good things to say about the course and the college.

On the other hand, I've only met really cool and talented people from ITP, I don't have much insight into how everything is structured there, but I know that people around the world respect the place/people very much!

The million-dollar question: Which grad school will let you reap the largest amount of money while in it and when you get out?

There are many other good schools. For example, the Design|Media Arts program at UCLA and Interaction Ivrea in Italy.

The 2 years I spent at RCA was very enjoyable and it sort of "changed" me. (That's a very corny way of saying it, though.) I'd recommend it but, like mikkel, I'm opinionated -- for I was probably getting too drunk in the college bar most of the time

The thing I like a lot about RCA is that you get to see a lot of excellent works from other depts., like print-making and ceramics. They're very inspiring, much better than my stupid robots in many ways.

There're many good schools all around the world -- I tend to think that one should decide first which environments (whether vibrant cities like London/NY or quiet town like Ivrea) one will be happier in, and how much financial resources one has. It's very expensive to live in London, for example, when I graduated all my bank accounts were overdrafted, and I was jobless for quite a while too. Alas.

So if you want to get rich by going to art school, that can be difficult... but if you want to think about life, drink beers, and perchance find love(hohoho), yeah!

P.S. Good luck with the show, mikkel!
