I've problems in video capture about QTJava, I've already set the enviroment variable to a correct path and reinstall QT and Pcoce55ing again but still it's doesn't work and it hangs everytime when I use the camera function while using other scipt, it works well. What should I do?

I'd be glad ot know the answer to this too. On my work machine I got told that I needed the Java part of quicktime, went, installed it, the video examples worked. At hme, I did the same, but all the video examples just sit and hang.

That's half worked. The camera example now works, but the loading_quicktime one doesn't. But that's enough for me, I mainly wanted to play with the camera features.

I couldn't get my camera to work either - processing generated an error - I installed the winVDIG - and processing still isn't running the example camera script minus the noBackground(); commented out so any suggestions? I wanted to try using some of the techniques used in Tracking by Robert Hodgin to audio data thx

I've got the same problem, any of the camera video exaples did not worked. On my computer there were installed some drivers for capturing video by my grapfic card. And I think, that the processing program was trying to connect to the camera from my firewire device. Afert I've removed those capturing drivers the USB camera worked fine. I still need tose capturing drivers to capture from DV cam, but I also need the usb cam. Is there any way to "select" or "define" the source of incoming video? mzagor
