Processing + Max/MSP/Jitter
« on: Aug 6th, 2004, 8:10pm »

Hi all -

I've put together some code that allows Processing (and any other Java process, incidently) to communicate with Max/MSP 4.5.  It makes it pretty easy to send data back and forth between the two environments, and you can call functions in your Processing sketches from Max as well.

If this sounds interesting, you can download it from http://jklabs.net/maxlink/.

The objects communicate over UDP multicast, so you can run Max and Processing on different computers and it'll still work.

Hello Jesse,

Thank you very much for posting this. The documentation looks great at a quick glance. I'll write to the folks at Cycling'74 and send them the link.
