Hi, I´m an absolute beginner. When I look at different learning-examples on processing.org with visual elements moving over the scene I don´t see "the path" after the element. If I copy the scripts and try them out in the program the path is always there. How can I get rid of it ?

Hi Maria.
The way the background() command works has changed in recent releases. Perhaps some of the examples are out of date, or written for a different version to the one you have?
The solution is probably to move background() from inside the setup() function to be the first thing in the loop() function.
Hope that helps - if not, then let us know which version you are using, and which examples don't work as you expect.
