Ellipse detail
« on: May 15th, 2004, 10:23pm »

Would it be safe to assume that the number of straight lines used to draw an ellipse is somehow related to the radius of the ellipse?  I am finding that relatively small ellipses drawn in a 3D space which allows me to zoom in real close shows my ellipses as being composed of 9 sides.

If the above assumption is correct, is there a way to control the ellipse detail (maybe like sphereDetail) so that I can make smoother ellipses without having to make large ones and scale them down?

there should be a solution to this (known) problem (related to scaling, more than adaptive resolution) in the near future, according to: http://processing.org/discourse/yabb/board_Proce55ing_software__bugs_action_display_num_1083674213.html
