small text / clean display

I am looking for a method to display small sized text in p5 (like a Geneva 9 pts)
For now I've tried:
- using included vlw fonts with a textSize of 10 to 16 px, once with the DISABLE_TEXT_SMOOTH hint and once without. --> dirty display in all case.
- using my own pixels fonts via the "create font" tool.
I tried different values for the size in the tool. --> same dirty display in all case.
Is there anyone who know a method for this?
