Vector output

I'm interested in exporting data generated within Proce55ing to a vector format, such as Illustrator EPS or PDF. I'm just beginning to learn Java, and to be able to export even very simple datasets would be an immense help. The code I've been working on consists of single words randomly placed on an x-y axis.
If anyone has any ideas as to how to do this, please let me know! Thanks,
