Autonomous Objects - Programing Behaviour
« on: Feb 20th, 2004, 8:41pm »

Hey,

Alot of the stuff he involves programmatic movment(is that the term) with particles reacting to the mouse, objects and each other.

I'm not sure where to start programming something like that. Can anyone reccommend some good articles/resources  to help my understand some of the fundamentals.

Thanks

The examples folder included with Processing is definately worth working through; searching here you'll find lots more material.

For autonomous objects, Craig Reynolds' work on "Boids" spring to mind. Check out http://www.red3d.com/cwr/boids/.
