problems parsing server-side code

huuge detail...
 
i have an applet that from authoring, retrieves and parses an URL (server-side code). but the <insult> applet does not wants to connect when online!
 
is it a security issue (as in jvm not letting it connect to a different domain as in other plug-ins)
 
is there a workaround i saw martin's 1:dO:

and it seems to work there... is it the cgi
 
would greatly appreciate any help...
