Forum 'bump' possible bug
« on: Jun 22nd, 2004, 4:12am » |

I noticed that two posts from April appeared at the top of the list in the Syntax forum. I discovered this is due to the board saving the last time a post was made to the topic - not sorted by the last existing post's date. By creating a post and deleting it moments afterward, the topic is moved to the top of the list, but remains un-updated. Combined with past errors we've seen, perhaps we should move to a better forum system? Did anyone take up the job of updating the website? (Sorry, no volunteers here... for now)

I quite like the forum as it stands though.

My only gripe about the forum is the lack of options to "subscribe" to a thread. Everything else is pretty much dandy.

We developed a small team to update the website, but it fizzled out. I hope to re-ignite it in the next weeks. I think the forum works well, but could be improved. One thing I don't know due to lack of experience with forums... If we did switch, what would we do with all the previous posts? + Casey
