MacOS X image won't mount (OSX 10.2.8)
« on: Oct 13th, 2003, 7:16pm »

the Processing .dmg image files won't mount on my Mac, running OS X 10.2.8. Disk Copy gives error 95, "No mountable file systems". I can't mount it in Toast either, it gives me a "MacOS error".

anyone else have this problem? is it due to 10.2.8?

Try re-downloading the file.  I've downloaded the .dmg on 10.2.8, and have had no problem, but I've seen that error when the download was incomplete.

doubt it is a issue with 10.2.8 . i've had no problems with the latest rev65 dmg image.

jerronimo could be correct in that your download got bonked or truncated somehow. i've seen this especially with Safari as your browser of choice and even more so if you're running on a wireless network connection

did downloading again fix the issue?

Sometimes Safari will cache the bad file too.. so you might need to either restart safari, or download with IE or another web browser...

I've had this error occur everytime I download (completely) a .dmg file.  I use IE 5.2.2 as my browser.

any thoughts?
