Using Java 1.5? HA!

i should note that java 1.5 is *not supported* for processing (whatever that means). i'm not testing with it yet, and for the time being, 1.4.2_XX is strongly recommended (specifically, the version that's included with the download)
most things should work ok in 1.5, but things that cause trouble with 1.5 i probably won't consider bugs with any priority until java 1.5 gets wider adoption (and a version for macosx is available.. which should be around march of 2007).
