suggestion for multiple viewports

would be good to have access to 'viewports', similar to paging in mode-x (remember mode-x!?) to be able to force output into a region of the window; perhaps limit(x,y); would be extremely useful for developing windowed split/screen environments and interfaces also to be able to draw to a nonvisible "page" and then to move the page to the visible window would help with animating. the idea here is similar to "onion skinning" -- usually 4 pages is adequate. 2 can be helpful. an ultrafast method memory "copy()" to move a section of one "page" to another at some offset -- like moving 0,0x5,5 region page 1 to 5,5x10,10 region page 0 (viewport) just a suggestion; happy trails
