Antoine Schmitt's Interaxity project now accepts Processing modules: Quote:To: eu-gene at generative net From: Antoine Schmitt Subject: eu-gene interaxity Remember the interaxity project ? A setup made of a camera looking at a street in Belgium and a projector projecting on a wall or shop window nearby... where the software is yours : you can upload your behavioral algorithm, which gets the data from the camera and draws what is projected. The camera gives you the live X,Y coordinates of the biggest blob (usually a car or a passerby). You draw what you want in realtime. I used to accept only Flash modules : it now accepts proce55ing modules ! Enjoy ! |
| See http://silibs.hexmatic.com/cities.html for more info. (writing this with my left hand only - I recommend that coders avoid breaking bones in their hands at all costs, it cuts into productivity...)

Hi, last week I was in Ghent and I saw this interesting installation, I think it's a good example of systems integration. It's also interesting watching users behaviour. Alessandro

actually, this is not antoine's baby but created by lieven from nmn.be who also co-organizes the ghent/brussels dorkbot. the current interaxity version will be up an running during the dark hours in ghent until end of this month. hopefully some more people will contribute. you can see videos of existing pieces on their website.

thanks for the correction, toxi. it wasn't clear from the web page whose idea it was, I guess antoine made a typo: "I used to accept..." should be "It used to...". I met Lieven at the Dorkbot presentation in Brussels, nice guy.
