The Processing authoring environment was used during the year 2003-2004 at Université de la Sorbonne - Paris 1, in the Arts department, to teach to basics of programming for interactive media. The 6 times 4 hours course took place inside the "Cultural Mediation" unit of the Arts department.

that's rad, raphael. did your students embrace processing as a tool for making responsive design work? is there a prevailing attitude toward digital media art/design in paris?

in the united states, there are coastal differences in attitude. for instance, in nyc, there is much love and respect for john maeda and computational art/design; on the west coast, there is general antagonism toward this kind of work. though i have observed that this is slowly changing, as prominent east coasters relocate, and groups like dorkbot become more popular.

We embrace computational art/design in LA. No antagonism down in SOCAL. But that's a digression...

Raphael, the French reference translation by v3ga is now complete. I hope this can be useful for you.

Really? That is nice to hear. An old coworker of mine had passed on horror stories of trying to do 'computational art/design' there... but that is another digression... ha ha...
