The semi-transparent square-a-thon
« on: Oct 16th, 2003, 2:10am »

This is the first p5 experiment i've focused on.  Forgive the performance if you're on a slower machine...  I developed it on a P4 2.4 GHZ and it runs great.  I checked it on my substandard p3 500 and it kinda crawls, but you get the idea.

A rotating pattern of overlaying semi-transparent rectangles is continually drawn.  The initial placement and color of the squares is regenerated every 200 iterations.  You can click the screen to clear and re-start.

Beautiful... more falling colors... makes me think of more leaves, and the sun in shape... good stuff.

very pretty.  If you want to speed it up, i'd suggest reducing the size of it.

Incidently, it didn't even fit on my screen.  Powerbook G4 500, 1152x768 display.

That's really good, Dave! But I agree with Jerronimo, change the size, even though it runs great on my machine. Could you make the 'circles' radii smaller? I guess this would make a cool effect too.
