mySample.getSpectrum: incorrect amplitudes

Apparently, the frequency components visualized by something like
mySample.getSpectrum(L); // FFT
have an amplitude bias that increases going from low to high frequencies. In other words, a sound having a comb of equal amplitude harmonics shows a spectrum with an increasing ramp of harmonics (?!) Any hints?
