yass, and i was just patiently waiting for your next move

anyway, just put the source up at: http://www.toxi.co.uk/p5/remixed/hair/

btw. i like that "remix" idea of our little beauties. almost like the old idea of "processing tennis"... hint, hint!

Okay, a bit of a departure... sorta.

3D. Glow code implemented. 144,000 shapes drawn every frame.  11 meg Quicktime.

Will try to clean the code up an upload later in the day.

UPDATE -----------------------------------------------

Same but different.  Now your hair is floating through 3D noise flow field.

UPDATE -----------------------------------------------

More of version 1.

Ok, I messed around with this one too --

you can see a quicktime that I generated:

Now, I must admit -- there is some post processing work -- it is actually two exports, one saved with the animation playing forward, and the other saved with it playing backwards.

What I did to the Processing file was use my dust code (there is a thread in this section) to make it so that each "vehicle" is placed using an image for a density map.

same technique: but this looks more like living tissue with blood vessles, unless you press a key which blurs it and makes it look like marble
http://www.sjeiti.com/p5ref.html?livingtissue&p55/livingtissue.jar&a mp;p55/livingtissue.pde&400&400&

I created this by giving each particle a property that affects the percentage between two colours (mouseclick changes colours) as well as the offset in the z value of the noise.

MouseY controls zoom in noise field.
MouseX controls amount of noise-Z offset (so keeping the mouse on the left causes the colours to follow the same path)
