Image deformation test

This is still very much a work in progress, but I wanted to get some feedback and maybe some help with the coding. The deformation is very crude at the moment. I'm not sure how I could make it smoother, so it doesn't handle extreme deformation too well. Anyway, here it is, (including everyone's favourite Japanese TV mascot ) : http://www.davidmear.com/p55/smudge/ Thanks in advance for any replies!

DOMOKUN! very neat. It's interesting how it kind of "invents" information if you leave the deformation point in one location for a long period of time.
